Integrity and accountability
We have our own way of being accountable to funders, donors, partners and people or Governments we serve. Our Community Scorecards assessment is a participative tool that allows all involved parties in needs evaluation, project design, implementation, and evaluation. We share results and work on feedbacks from stakeholders.
Innovation
Innovation is not just inventing new and unknown things. Innovation can just mean doing things differently to make better positive impact in life of people. We constantly look for new ways to make a bigger impact with minimum cost. We focus on digital transformation to minimize costs and time consuming.
Love and empathy.
We do with love and empathy all what we have to do. When we serve, we have in mind that we do the right thing to right people, in right place and right time.
Sectors of intervention
Victory International Foundation has a multidimensional intervention program which are aligned in a more comprehensive way for complementarity. Areas of intervention include:
CHILD PROTECTION
Victory International Foundation works to safeguard children from violence, exploitation, abuse and neglect. Our work focusses on identification of potential signs of harm, responding to allegations of abuse, providing support and services to protect children and holding those who harm them accountable. We work with children by providing them life skills and resilience capacity to cope with the threatening situations before, during and after.
Victory International Foundation invests in creating a protective environment for children through multiple actions:
Traditions and practices
We inform, sensitize and advocate for the adoption of favorable attitudes, traditions, customs, behavior and practices that preserve child protection. Children are more likely to be protected in societies where all forms of maltreatment of children are taboo and where the rights of children are broadly respected by customs and tradition.
Governmental commitment to fulfilling protection rights:
We invite and advocate to the Governments to commit to create, enforce and implement strong legal frameworks that comply with international legal standards, policies and programs.
Voice of children
We inform, sensitize, train and accompany children to engage and feel free to speak up about child rights and any concern affecting them or other children.
Protective legislation and enforcement
An adequate legislative framework designed to protect children from abuse must be not only adopted but also implemented and enforced.
Community engagement
The people in routine contact with children are in better place to protect them like Health workers, teachers, police, social workers, child protection committees and many others who interact with children. We equip them with knowledge and the motivation, skills and authority to identify and respond to child protection abuses.
Victort International Foundation has been supporting local NGOs working with Child Protection Committees. We empower them to empower in return communities to prevent, identify, and address instances of child abuse, neglect, and/or exploitation. These committees are generally comprised of men, women, children of different age groups, and leaders in the community; such as teachers, political or religious leaders etc. The CPCs carry out awareness raising, identification, and referral into a case management program, and play an important part in both prevention, as well as response.
Children’s life skills, knowledge and participation
Children are more protected against abuse when they are aware of their right and the available services to protect them. With this information, children can draw upon their knowledge, skills and resilience to reduce their risk of exploitation.
Monitoring and reporting of child protection issues:
The best and effective monitoring system should be able to record the incidence and nature of child protection abuses and allows for informed and strategic responses. Based on baseline assessment and our Community Scorecard evaluation approach, we can define appropriate, useful and practical instrument for collecting and reporting child protection issues in collaboration with all stakeholders and children themselves.
Multidimensional services for recovery and reintegration
Our intervention in favor of children victim of neglect, exploitation or abuse are entitled to take place following the protective environment approach and nondiscriminatory access to basic social services as child protection cuts across all sectors. Children will never be free from exploitation until all levels of society — from the family to the international community — work together.
